Welcome!

I’ll introduce myself just this once for the sake of establishing some kind of relationship with my readers, whoever they may be, and then we can dispose with formalities and get down to business.

My name is Stacy. I’m an undergraduate student with a journalism major, political science minor and honors concentration at Rowan University. The University of Maryland was my first choice because of its impressive school of journalism, but I’ve since realized there’s more than one road to success. I prefer the road that won’t leave me in the kind of debt that makes being a journalist a foolish idea in the first place.

My roommate and I get along splendidly and carry conversations on into the wee hours of the morning on the regular. I spend a lot of time at the gym because being an athlete most of my life has made me sentimental about sore muscles and sweat-drenched clothes. Once the semester progresses a bit more I’ll start hiding out in the library.

I used to blog on Xanga, but have since deleted my account. My friend Wasim wrote a good synopsis on why it simply isn’t the place for an undergraduate student brimming with ideas, musings, thoughtful inqueries and/or suggestions.

That’ll do. I need to get ready to go to the gym. If you want to know more, you’re more than welcome to ask. Otherwise, I plan on treating this like a column you would read in a newspaper. We’ll see how regularly I get the time to sit down and write something fit to publish.

Until then, fare thee well.
